Brandon Smith

I am currently a senior computer engineering major at Montana State University. In my spare time (what's spare time?) I enjoy playing music, oil painting, bike riding, and learning new things. One day I hope to be a rockstar, but if that doesn't work out, there's always jobs in engineering.

Joseph Guerri

I am currently a senior in the electrical engineering program at Montana State University and am from Whitefish, Montana. I have a passion for skiing, camping and fitness, and couldn’t think of a better place to grow up. I’ve spent time in Italy exploring my roots, as my father is an immigrant. I am fascinated with the world of optics and joined team Hot Spots to further explore this interest in a practical way.

I’m a senior electrical engineer at Montana State University. I love sports in general, indoor and outdoor. MSU allowed me to enjoy my everyday activities while also pursuing my degree in engineering. Originally from Seattle, I moved to Montana when I was a child. I graduated high school in Billings, MT from West High. I’m single, a foodie, and like long walks on the beach.

Pushkar Pandit

I am a senior in Electrical Engineering. I was born and brought up in Pune, India. Found my way to MSU for my degree in 2009 and have loved living in Bozeman since. I have a passion for Optics and I work as a Research Assistant at Spectrum Lab doing research on Synthetic Aperture Ladar (SAL) systems. I am not much of a snow sports person but I love hiking and playing badminton. In my spare time I love reading about upcoming technologies and enjoy fantasy/sci-fi books.

Warren Colomb

I am a Junior in the Physics program. I grew up in Vermont and found a great love for the outdoors. Looking at schools, MSU allowed me to enjoy both the outdoors and the physics research that I grew fond of in high school. I currently enjoy physics, math, engineering, anything outdoors and started loving the West ever since I moved out to Montana. I have been working as a Research Assistant at MSU's Spectrum lab since my freshman year and thoroughly enjoy optics research. I currently am involved with a Mid-IR DiAL( Differential Absorption Lidar ) chemical detection system to aid in methamphetamine detection for law enforcement.
