Purpose of the Project
The purpose of the ECE portion of the project is to design and build a sensor payload that will be useful for the balloon project as well as other autonomus vehicle projects.
Each member of the project team was assigned a sensor to develop for the payload. Each sensor had to have a custom interface that could be memory mapped onto the Altera Nios II "soft-core" processor and would include an appropriate device written driver.
